Current Events
The work on our building has finally been completed! Many thanks to those who have contributed to this effort, and also to those of our number who sacrificed so much of their time, labor, and money to see this through. God bless you for your help in furthering this great ministry.
Mark your calendars! Our next Ladies Day is scheduled for May 3, 2008 from 8am to 12pm. The theme is Exercising Unto Godliness.

Conversion Stories
Our program last summer for Wednesday night Bible class was themed "Conversion Stories". Some of our members (those who were willing) openly shared their stories of faith and the "reason of their hope" (I Pet. 3:15). Thanks be to God for this wonderful encouragement! Even though our summer program has long since finished, we can still continue to carry our stories of hope on to others that we come in contact with.

Second Sunday Fellowships
The Second Sunday Fellowship for February will be hosted by our congregation. For those who may be unfamiliar with our Second Sunday Fellowships, every second Sunday of the month we participate in a special fellowship with the Calhoun St. Church of Christ in Newport, AR and the Northside Church of Christ in Augusta, AR. Evening services at West Pleasure will be cancelled on the fellowship Sunday.
These fellowships are hosted in a monthly rotation, and serve to encourage and uplift each other as small, struggling congregations.
These gatherings consist of a fellowship meal provided by the hosting congregation followed by an afternoon worship service (starting at 3:00pm) with congregational singing led by men from all three congregations and a guest speaker.

Fifth Sunday Fellowship
The next Fifth Sunday Fellowship will be on March 30, 2008. This a special time of fellowship for our congregation. We invite visitors and guests to join us for a fellowship meal directly following the morning worship service. Evening services will be cancelled on the Fifth Sunday as many members stay all day to fellowship.

Singing Group
Several of our members have banded together with members of the 14th St. Church of Christ in West Memphis, AR to form a Gospel (a cappella) singing group. The name of the group is the Arkansas Christian Ensemble, and their mission is to uplift and encourage their brothers and sisters in Christ and to reach others with the Gospel through a ministry of song. They have performed at congregations all over Arkansas, in Texas, and in Tennessee.
